Yahtzee & Iggy!
If interested reach out to Lost Paws Rescue of Texas' Director of Cats, Kathi at [email protected]
Meet Yahtzee & Iggy! Yahtzee and Iggy are two peas in a pod, inseparable and have become very dependent upon each other. They are around 11 year old healthy boys. Over the last year, Yahtzee (brown cat) suffered detached retina's and has since become blind, although the Vet is unsure why since he is a healthy cat otherwise. Yahtzee has been adjusting to his new disability and has become a low energy and loving lap cat. Iggy (grey cat) has really stepped up after Yahtzee became blind, and helps Yahtzee a lot. Iggy is a little reserved at first, but then becomes very playful and loves being petted and brushed. These two are looking for a loving home to spend the rest of their years together.
Days Up For Adoption:
Yahtzee and Iggy have been available for adoption for 700+ days in foster care.
Their Story:
Yahtzee and Iggy were adopted out as kittens from Lost Paws Animal Rescue, but were returned 9 years later due to a change in family circumstances. They have been with their foster family for a year now and have adjusted well. They are very sweet boys, not dominate at all. They get along with all humans and cats they have been around.
Their Needs: Yahtzee and Iggy are a bonded pair who need to be adopted together. We are needing a patient and low energy family who understands their needs. Yahtzee is a "trip hazard", now that he is blind, he can not see to get out of the way, so his new family will need to be cognizant of his surroundings.
- Good with other cats
- Good with humans, but would do best in a home with older children due to Yahztee's blindness
Expected Costs: They are fixed, FIV and Feleuk negative and will be up to date on shots before adoption. Only costs to expect are normal monthly prevention, food, treats, toys, etc.
Contact: Yahtzee and Iggy are available through Lost Paws rescue. If interested in learning more about them, please reach out to the Director of Cats, Kathi, at [email protected].
