Meet Twix & Tucker! Twix and Tucker are two peas in a pod! Due to their backgrounds, we thought they would have to be in single-animal homes, but thankfully they found each other and have become best friends at the rescue. They are pretty chill dudes, until they start playing and they can get pretty rowdy. Twix is a beautiful 7 year old boy brindle boy who loves all the people he meets! Tucker is a handsome blonde 7 year old boy who can be a little choosey with his human friends, but is nice once he understands you.

Number of Days Waiting:
Twix has been at a the rescue facility since July 2019 and Tucker's been at the rescue since June 2022 waiting for a family.

His Story:
Twix was picked up as a stray by a local shelter and adopted out. Sadly he had to be saved from that adopter who apparently began abusing him as soon as he got Twix. Twix has gained some much needed weight and confidence since come to the rescue. Tucker was an owner-surrender to a boarding facility and he stayed there for 4+ years with no training or interest. Since being at the rescue, his personality has shown through!

Their Needs: Twix and Tucker love to play rough and need a home that understand they are just playing. They do not need anyone to break up their rough play, as they will end it themselves. They need a family who will understand their needs and love them forever!
-No dogs
-No cats
-Since they play rough, they would do best in a home with no children.

Expected Costs:  They are fixed and up to date on shots. Twix is heartworm positive and has already started the slow-kill method, but his adopter will need to continue on until the medication is complete. (Heartworm positive animals can be treated and live long and healthy lives) Only other costs to expect are the normal monthly prevention medication, food and treats, etc.

About us

We are an animal advocacy group focusing on "harder-to-adopt" and "long-stay" rescue animals in the DFW area. These animals have been at a shelter, rescue or in foster care longer than the average animal and are often overlooked. We help find them that perfect furrever home!
